Dr. Robert Benningfield
Dr. Robert Benningfield graduated in 1975 from Palmer College of Chiropractic and began practice in Peoria in 1976.  He has done extensive postgraduate studies leading to a Diplomat of the American Chiropractic Board of Rehabilitation, a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Chiropractic Certification in Spinal trauma, and a member of the Council of Chiropractic Physiological Therapeutics and Rehabilitation.  Dr. Benningfield is a published author in the Journal of Sports, Chiropractic, and Rehabilitation.

He is currently the Clinical Director of the Rehab Department and he is certified in the Proficiency and Utilization of MedX Diagnostic Rehabilitation Equipment.  Special interest include spinal trauma, sports injuries, and exercise rehabilitation.  Certified in Active Release Technique and TPI Certified Self Fitness Instructor-Level I and II.

Dr. Jay Benningfield
Dr. Jay Benningfield was born and raised in Peoria, IL.  He is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He comes from a family of chiropractors that spans two generations.  Dr. Benningfield is board certified in the state of Illinois.  Dr. Benningfield specializes in soft tissue injuries that result from sports injuries, work related injuries, auto accidents and repetitive stress injuries.   

Dr. Benningfield has treated Olympian athletes and division one high school athletes using chiropractic as well as other tools such as Active Release Technique, ARP and muscle rehab.   Dr. Benningfield is very involved in Peoria area athletics.  He sponsors a running clinic in the summer for Peoria area top runners and he volunteers his time at Manual high school working with the boy’s basketball team.  Dr. Benningfield has recently been named the preferred chiropractor for Bradley University Athletics.

Dr. Chad Walker
Dr. Chad Walker graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October 2005.  He specialized in physiotherapy and rehabilitation during his time there and took additional courses to become certified in Active Release Techniques.  This is a soft-tissue diagnosis and management system focusing on resolving chronic repetitive injuries such as those encountered in cycling, running, and repetitive work movements.  As a result of his training, he was a member of the Active Release Technique treatment that provided care to athletes competing in the Ironman triathlon in Madison, Wisconsin.Post graduate studies included Cox flexion distraction technique, an upper cervical specific technique (NUCCA procedure), and several courses in specific nutritional analysis and treatment.  His special interest is in chronic disorders and pain.  These conditions involve the nervous, hormonal, and gastrointestinal systems and create complex pain patterns and symptoms.

His purpose is to help patients by getting to the root cause of their problems and giving them hope through healing, education and inspiration through knowledge that they were created with a specific design and special purpose.

Dr. Michael Buescher
Dr. Michael Buescher is a 1970 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic where he graduated third in his class.  While at Logan College he was placed in charge of the afternoon and evening outpatient clinics.  Upon graduation he served a preceptorship in Princeton, IL before opening his office in Peoria, IL in 1972.   Prior to joining forces with Benningfield & Associates in January of 2011 he was president of Buescher Chiropractic office for 38 years.  In 1976 he was awarded the Chiropractor of the Year award from the Professional Chiropractic Society of America for his outstanding work in the field of chiropractic.

Over the years he has had the honor of serving on the board of trustees at Logan College of Chiropractic, as a board member of the Tri-County Chiropractic Society and as president of the Associated Chiropractic Providers of Illinois.  He is a current member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Illinois Chiropractic Society, the Prairie State Chiropractic Association and the Foundation of Chiropractic Education and Research.  Dr. Buescher specializes in Gonstead and Flexion/Distraction techniques.


Dr. Troy Buescher
Dr. Troy Buescher was born and raised in Peoria. He graduated from Indiana University and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Enviromental Science and a minor in chemistry.  Dr. Buescher graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2001 with a Bachelors in Science Human Anatomy in addition to his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.  He has postgraduate studies in Cox Flexion Distraction Techniques, treatment of sports injuries, and treatment of whiplash.
